For some of you NOT in Arizona, school just started; but if you live in Arizona, then you know that fall break is right around the corner.
In fact, K and B will be on fall break in one month!
That means time to figure out ways to keep them occupied for the week they are home!
Where to go for Fall Break
Pump It Up* is located in Tempe and in Peoria. They offer indoor inflatables for hours of jumping fun (that wears your littles down for a quiet night!!) It is appropriate for ages 2 and up.
Makutu’s Island* located in Chandler is an indoor play area for kids ages 4 and older, but they do have toddler times for those younger than 4.
Fat Cats* in Gilbert offers bowling, glow golf, movies, and arcade games.
Attend an Arizona State University* athletic game.
Attend an Arizona Rattlers* football game. The Arizona Rattlers is Arizona’s arena football team.
Attend an Arizona Diamondbacks* baseball game at Chase Field!
Attend a Phoenix Mercury* basketball game. The Phoenix Mercuyr is Arizona’s professional women’s basketball team.
Castles and Coasters* is an outdoor amusement park near Metro Center with roller coasters, golf, a carousal and more!
Enchanted Island* has been named by Forbes as one of the top best city parks in America and is located in the heart of Encanto Park in Phoenix. You can enjoy the carousel, pedal boats, arcade games, and more.
Golfland in Mesa provides a castle full of arcade games, a mini golf course, laser tag, race cars, and bumper boats.
Phoenix Rock Gym* is a family friendly, all ages welcome rock climbing gym. (Children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult who can belay for them.)
The Phoenix Zoo* is a great place to go with the kids!
Gather the kids and some friends and family and play laser tag at Stratum Laser Tag in Mesa.
Tempe Paintball* is a great activity for kids ages 10 and older, HOWEVER, they do offer a “Lil Ballerz” day every Sunday for ages 7 to 12.
USA Skateland* has three Valley locations: Glendale, Mesa, and Chandler. Skateland offers group skating, dancing, video arcade games, great lighting and a full service restaurant.
I.D.E.A. Museum* in Mesa is the place to explore your imagination through design in art, science and technology for both yourself and your littles!
Head to your local library and pick up a Culture Pass. Library cardholders can check out a Culture Pass for FREE admission for two people at participating arts and cultural institutions. You can find what libraries have culture passes, what culture passes are available, and where they are available at the Act 1 Culture Pass site.
Jumpstreet has 2 Valley locations – Chandler and Glendale. In short, they are an indoor trampoline park suitable for all ages. We have been taking A since she was a year and a half old and even my oldest kids can play! (Yes, even adults!) It is tons of fun and keeps them active!
McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park in Scottsdale is great for all train enthusiasts big or small! Admission is free, but a ride on the Paradise and Pacific Railroad and Scottsdale Charros Carousel require the purchase of tickets. The McCormick Historical Railroad Exhibit and the Arboretum Railroad (Saturdays) also require tickets, but the Model Railroad Exhibit is free. There are play places and a gift shop too!
Desert Breeze Park is located in Chandler and offers a splash pad, play structure, carousel, train ride, and urban fishing!
Freestone Park is located in Gilbert and has a play area, softball fields, batting cages, skate park, a train to ride, carousel, mini ferris wheel, and wave runner ride. You can go to the park for free, but the rides and batting cages do have cost.
Go to the movies! Check out what is playing at your local big theater or, see what is playing at the Pollack Tempe Cinema. They don’t show new releases, but admission is $3 every day except Tuesday is $2!
Desert Botanical Gardens is located in Phoenix near the Phoenix Zoo. It is a beautiful place to visit and has indoor and outdoor exhibits, with most of it being outdoors so plan your visit accordingly!
I am a huge fan of As You Wish and there are 7 Valley locations! It is another great activity for all the kids and adults!
Sea Life Arizona is another one of our favorite places to visit. Sea Life Arizona is located at the Mill Mall in Tempe. Be sure to keep an eye on our Facebook page for some Spooktacular events at Sea Life in October!
Arizona Science Center is a great hands on museum with lots to learn! The kids love going there and their exhibits are always a ton of fun to check out!
