Beat Summer Boredom with As You Wish Pottery Summer Classes

April 18, 2015 By Leila 6 Comments

Disclosure

There are two words in the English language that every parents hates to hear – “I’m bored”.

Seriously. I despise those words.

I don’t know about where you are, but here, school gets out in about a month and then my kids will be on summer break and I will hear “I’m bored” more times than I am ready to hear!

Lucky for me (and others who reside in Arizona), we can beat summer boredom with As You Wish Pottery summer classes for the kids all through June and July!

The 2015 theme for the summer classes is “What color is your fun”. Each week is a new color theme – red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet (catch the theme?)

Monday, Wednesday and Friday’s will be pottery painting days; Tuesday is glass (ages 8 and up) and Thursdays are canvas (pottery and canvas painting are for ages 5 and up for the classes.)

Classes are $25 and are in the mornings from 9am to 10:30am.

My kids got to go to As You Wish Pottery the other night and get a sneak preview of their Grilled Cheese Plate class with As You Wish’s custom artist, Liz (she was fabulous and has some amazing talent!)

The kids had a lot of fun and I cannot wait to see how their plates turned out!

Last summer my kids took a summer class and made cake plates. My favorite asapect of these classes is that the instructor walks you through each step of the project. Even if you are not “talented” – these pieces turn out amazing regardless of skill level (and they make such memorable pieces!)

About As You Wish

As You Wish opened it’s first studio in Scottsdale, Arizona, in 1995 and has since grown all over the entire Phoenix metro area including Ahwatukee, Chandler, Deer Valley, Desert Ridge, Glendale, Mesa and Tempe.

As You Wish is known as a ‘paint your own’ pottery studio, but they also have canvas available for special events and the older kids/adults can do glass cutting and designs.

You can schedule birthday parties, teambuilds, scout meetings, field trips and fundraising events through As You Wish and choose between pottery or canvas.

In addition to the summer classes, As You Wish offers various age level classes from Mommy and Me classes for toddlers to beginning pottery painting for all ages.

If you are wanting to go in on a day just for fun, you can do that too!

As You Wish provides you with all the materials you need. You pick your piece of pottery or glass and then get to work!

All pieces are priced individually and studio fees apply. From September 18th through 20th, As You Wish will be celebrating their 20 year anniversary and will be providing $2 studio fees in total — a savings of up to 75% on studio fees and raffling off $20 gift cards several times per day!

In the mean time…

Two of you can enter to win a $25 certificate for any As You Wish summer class!

The giveaway is open to individuals 18 years of age and older, residing in Arizona.

All you have to do is enter via the form below. Remember, all entries are optional, but the more entries equals a great chance at winning!

Love unique ideas for summer activities! The watermelon bowl is adorable, but my daughter would use that grilled cheese plate everyday!

I took my grandkids here when they visited a few years ago. It was a lot of fun. It would be fun to go back and take some classes.
