Crayon Crunch: A Personal Personalized Children’s Book

May 18, 2015 By Leila Leave a Comment

I was approached by ‘a parent in CA’ (really, that was the subject line). He asked if I would help him and his wife share their ‘most personalized children’s book[s]’.

I was hesitant at first. It’s not something I usually jump on board with, but personalized children’s books sounded like something that not only would I purchase for my children, but I am sure other parents would love to learn about it and purchase for their kids. Especially kids who are of a different ethnicity or have a disability.

These are indeed, personalized children’s books.

Crayon Crunch Personalized Children's Book

Crayon Crunch was founded in February 2015 by Tim Osterbuhr, Kai Schmittat and Friederike Geiken.

The best part of Crayon Crunch is that the printed book’s lead character can be personalized for all ethnicities and disabilities.

You can customize:

Name
Hairstyle and color
Facial features
Eye color
Skin tone
Clothing
Special needs like wheelchair, glasses, prosthetics, cane and more.

And the custom illustration will be created at no additional charge if the special need illustration is not yet developed.

How great is it to gift your child a book with a lead character who looks like them?

The title of the book is My Magical Adventure and is a gender neutral adventure in an imaginary world.

Starting today, May 18th, Crayon Crunch is launching their KickStarter Campaign. Be sure to head on over and support them! And show your support by liking them on Facebook!

Tell me, what would your lead character look like?
