Home Remedy for Skin Support {Essential Oil Blend}

May 6, 2017 By Leila Leave a Comment

We are an entire family of sensitive skin. I thought I was the worst until Addy was born. Her skin is incredibly sensitive and the slightest anything can cause all sorts of flair ups.

Fortunately, I have been using essential oils since right before she was born so when it comes to skin support; essential oils are my go-to.

Home Remedy for Skin Support {Essential Oil Blend}

I am sure there are different blends, recipes, or single oils that you can use; but this particular blend is my go-to recipe. It hasn’t failed me yet!

  • 1 tablespoon carrier oil; we use fractionated coconut oil, but you can also use organic and unrefined: coconut oil, sweet almond oil, grapeseed oil, jojoba oil, olive oil
  • 10 drops Lavender Essential Oil
  • 10 drops Melaleuca A/Tea Tree Oil

We use this skin support blend quite a bit so we keep it in a Glass Roll-on Bottle, Amber Glass Essential Oil Bottle or Glass Spray Misters. (We used to keep it in a small mason jar and apply with a cotton ball when we first started, but have since found that a roller ball works best for us.)

If you are going to use the entire tablespoon in one use, you can mix it easily in an empty medicine cup, but like I mentioned above, we use it often so we usually double or triple the dose and hold on to the extra to use next time.

If you are interested in purchasing or learning more about essential oils, feel free to email me or message me on any of my social media channels. I would love to share with you what I know, our favorite recipes (which I will be sharing more of) or help you purchase essential oils for yourself or your family. (Be on the lookout for my essential oil story soon!)

In the meantime, try this blend and let me know your thoughts!
