Back to school, back to school, to prove to all that I’m so cool.

‘Tis the season for back to school and that means its time to stock up for school. I know here in Arizona, my kids have already started and several other (if not all) other schools in the area have started as well. I know in other places (my home state of Minnesota for one), school hasn’t yet started, but will be within the next few weeks.

Whether school has started or is going to start, you can still prepare and stock up for school with Kellogg’s offer for Scholastic books.

With a new school year, we are now faced with daily homework, daily reading, and daily “I’m hungry” groans as they arrive home from school.

This past weekend, we headed to our local Sam’s Club to check out the Kellogg’s offer for Scholastic books – 1 box, 2 books, and to stock up for school.

Attend a demo at your local Sam's Club on Aug 22 or 23 #Back2SchoolStockUp #Ad #cbias

We enjoy purchasing books from Scholastic throughout the school year as it grows our home library while helping out our school and classrooms. With the Kellogg’s offer for Scholastic books, we are able to purchase a participating item (the kids’ after school snack) and get a free, full-length Scholastic book, plus donate a book to a school in need!

It’s a win-win situation for us. We are helping a school in need while getting a new book and getting a snack for the kids for their after school activities. Plus, the kids are getting new books to read at home for homework and for us to read aloud as a family.

Kellogg’s offer for Scholastic books fill your home library with a fun variety of books of different lengths, genres, and reading levels!

How to Get Your Free Book

Head to your local Sam’s Club to purchase a participating Kellogg’s product. Products include Kellogg’s® Froot Loops™, Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies Treats® the Original, Kellogg’s® Pop-tarts® Chocolate Lover’s, Kellogg’s® Pop-tarts® Frosted Brown Sugar Cinnamon, Kellogg’s® Pop-tarts® Frosted Strawberry, Kellogg’s® Frosted Flakes™, Kellogg’s® Frosted Mini Wheats® Original Bite Size Cereal, Kellogg’s® Apple Jacks™ with Marshmallows & Kellogg’s® Froot Loops™ with Marshmallows Pack, Kellogg’s® Fruity Snacks Mixed Berry fruity flavored snacks, Sunshine® Cheez-It® Original snack crackers, Kellogg’s® Nutri-Grain® Soft Baked Breakfast Bars Variety Pack, Keebler® Chips Deluxe® Rainbow™ Chocolate Chip Cookies with M&M’S® Chocolate Candies, and Keebler® Mini Fudge Stripes™ Original Cookies.

Make sure the packaging has the special logo mentioning 1 Box=2 Books

Kellogg's Frosted Flakes has the 1 box, 2 books label #Back2SchoolStockUp #cbias #Ad

When you get home, you will find the code inside the packaging. I will admit, I spent more than I want to admit looking for the darn code. Make sure the light is on or you will not find it! Our code in our Kellogg’s Pop-tarts was located inside the box, printed on one of the sides.

Once you have your code, go to www.FreeBookOffer.com/Sams

Go to freebookoffer to enter your codes #Back2SchoolStockUp #Ad #cbias

Click on the “enter code now” button and you will be taken to a new screen where you can choose to “get started”, “log in”, or “join now”.

Create an account or redeem your code without an account #Back2SchoolStockUp #Ad #cbias

I clicked “get started” but I’m not sure it would be any different than the “join now”. If you already have an account, click “log in”.

I did learn that if you need to sign in at a later time, you can do so by entering the email and password that you enter on the next screen.

Enter your personal information #Back2SchoolStockUp #Ad #cbias

You will enter your personal information, email, password and the address where you want your book to be sent.

After completing your personal information, you will be taken to the screen to enter your code, as well as where you purchased your product.

Redeem your code found inside the product #Back2SchoolStockUp #Ad #cbias

Once your code is submitted, you are ready to “redeem” your book. (You can redeem up to 30 books!)

Redeem your book and donate a book #Back2SchoolStockUp #Ad #cbias

You have 2 options – you can get the first book for yourself, pick the title and mail to yourself OR, you can choose to donate the first book. No matter whether you keep or donate the first book, you can choose the title out of a selection of over 80 books (including ebooks and Spanish books!) ranging from beginning readers to teens.

The second book will be donated to a pre-selected, local school in need. You will not have the opportunity to choose the title of the second book or where the book will be sent, but know that by donating the book, you are helping a school in need, in your community.

As an added note, all books will be shipped to their destination for free.

Choose your book title #Back2SchoolStockUp #Ad #cbias

Once you find the first book that you are going to keep (or donate to a school of your choosing), click on the book and ‘add to cart’.

Review your order in the shopping cart and if you are all set, click ‘continue to check out’.

Check the point deduction authorization statement and click ‘continue to checkout’ once more.

Again, review your order for accuracy. If all is correct, click ‘place my order’.

Voila! Your book will arrive in the mail in no more than 8 weeks!

Now you will have a new book for after school reading and a snack to enjoy it with!

Don’t have a Sam’s Club membership? That’s okay! I’ve got you covered! Bring this invitation printed out to the Member Services Desk at your local Sam’s Club for a Sam’s Club one day pass. A 10% service fee applies on all non-member purchases when shopping with this One-Day Pass (not applicable in CA, SC or Elmsford, NY). The 10% service fee does not apply if the non-member decides to join the Club at the time of purchase.

While you are there, you may want to check out this list of Sam’s Clubs to see if your local store is doing a demo the weekend of August 22nd and 23rd!

Which book will you pick from Kellogg’s offer for Scholastic books?

I’ve been a fan of Scholastic since I was a kid myself. I love that you can buy a book and donate one, too.
